General information about Kep

The nickname of Kep is Cambodian Saint-Tropez. The little village by the sea with a small traditional crab market has changed significantly in recent years to become the most fashionable seaside town in Cambodia. A few kilometers from Ha Tien on the border with Vietnam and the Vietnamese island of Phu Quoc, Kep is popular with hotel developers who see it as a destination with a lot of potential. However, the sea here is not turquoise. No doubt the small town will be increasingly distorted over the years but as long as the Crab Market remains, it will be worth it to stop there.

Practical information and advices

You can easily get around by feet. Kep is a city in length, but the distance between the main beach and the crab market is short enough to not need to hire a taxi or a motodop.
