Wat Leu - Sihanoukville

Wat Leu Sihanoukville

Wat Leu is one of the five main temples in the city of Sihanoukville. On a hill, in the middle of a forest, the temple is surrounded by a large stone wall, overlooking the city and the neighboring islands. You will see a white elephant with three heads carved on the wall with three Buddha statues on each of the three heads of the elephant. In front of the stairs leading to the temple door, there is a huge black statue of Buddha.
Wat Leu is often called Upper Wat compared to Wat Kraom Lower Wat.
